As we move into the New Year in Children’s Religious Education, we are going to continue our focus on Peace and Justice, and how that factors into our everyday interactions with our families, friends, classmates and the rest of the world around us. We are going to talk about conflicts, and how we can do a better job of dealing with them. Conflict often arises when we assume that other folks have wrong intentions – but often there are just simple misunderstandings or different ways of looking at things. If we all give each other a chance, we can avoid some of those misunderstandings.
One of the best things about children is that they can be quick to anger and argue, but they are also equally quick to forgive and move on - I think we can all take a lesson from them. When we work for Peace and Justice, we work to change the world into a better place for all of us, and the world that our children deserve.
Love and blessings, DRE Susan
