17th Annual (COMPLETED!!)
EARTH DAY Work-Day & Potluck BBQ

Place: Hugh Taylor Birch State Park
3109 E. Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale FL 33304

We are finally back after 2 years of COVID crazy, our last Earth Day work-day was in 2019! So this year we want to go the extra mile and we are back at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. This year we will be weeding the old south playground area that was recently removed. It will be rebuilt but needs to be weeded and cleaned-up first! They have asked us to do it, or at least make a good start.
This is a potluck BBQ, so please bring either a side dish or healthy desert or a beverage and ice. If you can bring a cooler that would be great too. We will definitely be trying to be as environmentally conscious and responsible as possible, we will have reusable cutlery, plates, cups, etc.
PLEASE bring a refillable water bottle as the park is trying to discourage the use of plastics generally.
Please come prepared to work. Bring gloves, tools (esp. weeding tools, clippers, loppers, small shovel or trowel, etc.), and wear clothes appropriate for working in a garden outside (closed shoes, long pants and shirts, hats, bug spray, sunscreen, etc.).
SCHEDULE
